Against the backdrop where protecting naturecultures has become a new trend in world heritage conservation, Urban Biocultural Diversity (UBCD) offers a perspective that emphasizes transmitting ecological culture to foster human-nature interactions, along with a three-dimensional methodological framework of "Materialized-Lived-Stewardship." This approach can supplement cultural ecology theory and the Historic Urban Landscape concept by providing operational methods for bridging micro-level practices. Taking Zhoujiakou South Stockade Historical Areas as a case study, this research addresses the challenges of fragmented city-water relationships and disrupted public ecological memory. Based on UBCD, it proposes two core strategies. 1. Protecting the multi-dimensional, holistic relationship between the historic district and the Shaying River.2. Utilizing ecological knowledge and collective memory to activate community-driven environmental stewardship. Aligning with global heritage trends and reflecting on local conservation and revitalization practices, this study provides insights for urban heritage protection in China. It promotes a paradigm shift from "scenic landscape control" towards "regeneration through synergistic cultural-ecological revitalization."
