Abstract:
The spatial form and functionality of streets have exhibited a trend toward diversity and inclusiveness. This research selects three representative types of commercial streets in Suzhou, utilizing multiple sources of data such as street scenes and Location-Based Services (LBS). A street inclusiveness assessment system is constructed to evaluate street indicators from three dimensions: spatial inclusiveness, functional inclusiveness, and crowd inclusiveness. The research uses standardized values and the combination weighting method of game theory to determine indicator weights, and calculates the inclusiveness assessment scores for the three streets. The results of the total assessment scores indicate that the inclusiveness evaluation is highest for "Historical Character Streets" represented by Pingjiang Road, while streets representing "Modern Distinctive Streets" like Huaihai Street and "Lifestyle and Culture Streets" like Heng Street of Feng Gate have relatively lower inclusiveness values. Accordingly, based on the specific presentation of indicators for these three different types of streets, the study proposes corresponding strategies, aiming to assist relevant authorities in improving street inclusiveness and enhancing the happiness of community residents.
