无论从1999年北京世界建筑师大会的《北京宣言》中强调的要研究各国20世纪建筑规律及认知建筑师贡献，还是从近20年来联合国教科文组织的《世界遗产名录》20世纪建筑入选的比重增加态势来看，20世纪建筑巨匠对城市与建筑的保护与传承的作用都不可小视。从这趋势入手，在回顾并分析国际建筑大师作品入选世界文化遗产的同时，透析中国20世纪建筑遗产项目认定、研究乃至传播上的潜力。指出：虽从全球看，20世纪经典建筑已占世界文化遗产中的相当比重，2019年中国的世界遗产总数也位居世界第一，但很遗憾，中国的20世纪建筑遗产项目并未入选，也没有建筑大师进入世界建筑巨匠行列。这并非中国缺少20世纪建筑经典的光辉，更非中国20世纪建筑师缺乏设计创意，而是因为我们对世界遗产发展的研究不够，20世纪建筑尚未成为合乎国情的遗产类型，更缺少对中国20世纪建筑巨匠作品与思想的自主推介与传播研究，这均成为我们对20世纪遗产及建筑师的贡献加以关注的迫切理由。

Whether from the 1999 Beijing World Congress of Architects, the Beijing Declaration stressed to study the 20th century architectural laws and cognitive architects of various countries, or in the past 20 years, UNESCO’s World Heritage List of the 20th century building stake increased, the role of 20th century architectural giants on the protection and inheritance of cities and buildings can not be underestimated. This paper, starting from this trend, reviews and analyzes the international architectural master’s works as a world cultural heritage, but also analyzes China’s potential in the identification, research and even dissemination of architectural heritage projects in the 20th century. The article points out that, although from a global perspective, the 20th century classic architecture has accounted for a considerable proportion of the world cultural heritage, in 2019 China’s total number of world heritage is also ranked first in the world, but unfortunately, China’s 20th century architectural heritage projects have not been selected, and no architects have entered the ranks of the world’s architectural giants. This is not the lack of 20th century architectural classics in China, not more than the lack of design creativity of Chinese 20th century architects, but because we do not have enough research on the development of world heritage, 20th century architecture has not yet become a national heritage type, but also lack of China’s 20th century architectural giants’ works and ideas of independent promotion and dissemination of research, which has become an urgent reason for us to pay attention to the 20th century heritage and the contribution of architects.
